My alter ego muses about whisky and through that I get to talk to a lot of people around the world. A friend from Germany told me about his other hobby post boxes and I was hooked!
Now you might think a post box is a post box, but that's not the case, there are lots of different types, different colours and 6 different royal cyphers.
I'll try and explain in later blogs but my main interest is in cataloguing all of the post boxes in my area and those I come across in my travels!
Post boxes are numbered by Royal Mail, usually at the very bottom of the Collection Times label made up of the postcode area and a number:
